I do not know how you arrived at this website.  That may be a story in and of itself.  And who knows whether you will visit regularly, once a month, or never again.  We are thankful for whatever vehicle brought you here and you are welcome to come back as often as you like.  But if you do visit here more than once, that means you are willing to take a chance your views might be challenged, changed, discarded, altered, or heaven forbid, strengthened.

Greg Gutfeld bans words and phrases.   We would like to ban certain words which are used when one does not have a cogent or reasonable argument for their position and resort to name calling to end the discussion.  This does cause a bit of a conundrum for us because the First Amendment is alive and well here at the Grist For the Mill.   So we are going to “request” or “ask” that labeling individuals, e.g., racist, homophobe, does not become a way to end a discussion when you are losing the argument.  Unfortunately, I know some have slipped into the habit of name calling and this has become one of their “talking Points”.   “Whataboutism” is not welcome here either as a valid defense or offense, because it is offensive and smells.

If you are a “Snowflake”, you are welcome.  Just be prepared to be melted as there are no safe rooms here.  Look up what “Grist” is.  Look up what a “mill” is and does.  There is no time to allow one’s sensitive skin to control the discussion on this website.  And since we are basically a PG rated site, (my rating for the site, which I can do because God gave me the lever, actually I bought the domain is the reason), if you can’t say what is on your mind without curse words continually rolling off the keyboard, your point gets lost as it can’t simply be stated so children can understand it.  I pray the younger generation will be able to learn from these discussions and be able to make educated decisions as they become the ones running the country with their votes, time, energy, and ideals.

Oh, and by the way, talking points without proof or facts are not going to be on the winning side of discussions.  Maybe saying there will be a winning side is a little bit extreme for some, but I believe we are in the fight of our lives for the soul of America.  Will we stay free and enjoy life or will we be put under the thumb of the government?  It was not the knee that killed Floyd but it will be the thumb of the government that will stop the air we breathe from entering our lungs.

Anonymous sources are worth just as much as an ice cream cone lying on a sidewalk in the Saraha Desert, assuming you could find a sidewalk in the sand.  I wonder what it would cost to get that ice cream cone to a sidewalk in the Sahara Desert?  Think of the refrigeration costs, the travel costs, the lost workdays, and the jugs of water you would need.  So, save your energy and leave the anonymous sources and ice cream cones in the freezer.

Enjoy the brain freezes you will get while eating those ice cream cones you saved from the desert, and reading the material, and being a part of the discussions here on the Grist For the Mill.
